Speaker 1:

You know, this podcast is all about real conversations to help you live the life your soul already knows is yours. So with that, my friend, we need to have a talk, because there is some BS floating around in the manifesting world and I'm not going to let it quietly steal your power. You've probably heard advice, seen rituals, repeated mantras and still feel like something isn't landing. Repeated mantras and still feel like something isn't landing. And if you've ever spiraled into thinking maybe I'm doing it wrong, maybe I don't believe hard enough, maybe the universe forgot about me, then, babe, this episode is for you because we're going to pull back the curtain on seven not-so-hidden manifestation lies that quietly derail your progress, gaslight your nervous system and keep you hustling for proof when you're supposed to be creating from power. And when I say seven not-so-hidden manifestation lies, it's because it's truly manifestation misconceptions that are put on, repeat and recycled through social media, the advice out there, but they're not what you do if you want to manifest, because there should be no shame, just truth, just fire and fierce clarity when you go to create the life you desire. Let's get into this first misconception, and that's if it's trendy, it's alignment, right. If everybody else is doing it. It must work. But listen, just because something is blowing up on TikTok doesn't mean it's aligned for you. Like the bath ritual with the pink Himalayan salt and the three bay leaves tapped to your forehead may be somebody's moment, but if you're doing it thinking this better work or else, then that is not alignment, that is anxiety, that is just following along, thinking that might be that one key that unlocks the door for you, but it's really somebody else's. Alignment is not a vibe that you borrow from somebody else's content. It is what your body, your spirit and your actual life feels good with. Alignment hits different when it's yours, and it may not always look cute, and sometimes it might look like a nap, and sometimes it might look like deleting half your vision board because you realize you were chasing what you thought you should want instead of what you really want. And the second you stop chasing the aesthetic of alignment and start living your version of truth. That's when everything is going to click.

Speaker 1:

The next one I want to talk about is this lie that you have to be high vibe 24-7. Girl, no, you do not have to be some glowing orb of joy and gratitude every second of the day to manifest. That's not vibe, that is pressure, and the pressure is the fastest way to collapse your nervous system and to short circuit your power. You're allowed to have moods. You're allowed to cry in your car. You're allowed to have moods. You're allowed to cry in your car. You're allowed to question everything and still be walking, breathing and manifesting as a force of nature all at the same time.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you've been around here for a very long time, you know I am all about gratitude. I have a charm on my necklace that says gratitude and I'm a deeply grateful person. But y'all I know that it's okay to have moments. So if you have been around for a while and I have inadvertently made you think, oh well, you have to always be grateful. No, no, no. You can cry, you can have moods, you can scream, you can shout. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1:

I was watching this show. It's an older show, it's called Younger, and on one of the episodes there was like this wine room, like in a house, like right, like a wine, I don't know what they call it. Anyway, I call it a wine room, and but it was soundproof. And they went in there and the two girls went in there and just like screamed so loud because nobody could hear them at this like corporate party. So they just go in there and they scream their heads off. And then they come out and they're like all giddy and happy and everybody's like, wow, what y'all just do? Huh, because they were just like so happy, like it's okay. It's okay to want to scream your head off sometimes, because being high vibe 24-7 is a myth created by people who don't understand the nervous system and want to bypass the inner work. We do not manifest from perfection. We manifest from presence, and presence includes the whole range of your emotions.

Speaker 1:

The third one that I want to talk about is manifesting means getting it instantly, and then, if not, you messed up, because there's this big trend about if you do X, y, z, you'll have it in 10 days or 30 days. These timeframes right. Like we're putting timeframes on stuff, saying if we do it a certain way, you get it in a certain time. And then if you don't get it instantly, because get it in a certain time, and then if you don't get it instantly, because that's pretty instant, right, even 30 days is pretty instant If you don't get it instantly, then maybe that you messed up and this one can really mess with your head very quickly because the second your desire doesn't show up. Like you know, you just ordered something on Prime because, I'm not going to lie, I like overnight shipping, I like one day shipping when I get stuff.

Speaker 1:

And, yes, I'm trying to use Prime less for my own value system, but that's just how I used to do it, right, when I would order things off Prime. I wanted it right now and the thought of waiting was hard, but I feel like that's also like a good exercise for me personally to not use Amazon as much, as little as possible. I'm really trying to move away from it. Yeah, I might have to wait longer for things, but I think that's just a good nervous system lesson of not having something instantly, because we do get a lot of things instantly in our world these days. But when you have that kind of habit and then you go into manifestation and you start spiraling, you may think did I do it wrong? Was I not aligned? Is there some block that I don't know? You're not a vending machine, okay. Manifestation isn't immediate gratification. It really is identity expansion. So if it's taking time, that doesn't mean it's not working. It means you're still becoming the version of you, who holds it, who lives it, who breathes it. And let's not pretend that your subconscious doesn't have its own timeline, because you may consciously want the thing, but if your inner world is screaming that it's not safe, those brakes are on anyway, and that's why we really need to work with our nervous system. It's not a failure, really, guys. It's feedback, and that feedback is sacred.

Speaker 1:

The fourth lie misconception, whatever the hell you want to call it is that you have to have flawless faith or it won't work. Perfection is not required here, so just throw that out the window, just throw it into the bonfire. Okay, you don't need flawless faith. You need belief to keep going. That's it. Just, I'm building a new belief. Eventually it will be a belief, but you don't have to be perfect leading up to it. When I'm building a new belief, eventually it will be a belief, but you don't have to be perfect leading up to it.

Speaker 1:

When you're building a belief, obviously you're going to have doubt, and if doubt shows up, cool. It just means your brain's doing its job, what it was meant to do. If you wobble, it doesn't mean that you're unworthy. It means you're human, you're evolving and you're brave as hell for even trying. Stop putting so much pressure and perfection that I have to believe perfectly all the time, because this isn't about having zero fear. It's about walking with your fear and saying, okay, I love you, but we're doing this anyway, and moving that subconscious into a new place, gently and slowly and with consideration. It's okay. Once again, that kind of just connects right back to the you know being high vibe all the time, like you have feelings You're going to have doubt. Doubt is a feeling You're going to have reservations. It's okay. You don't have to be flawless in your faith and believe you know us in your faith and believe you know 24-7, without any conflict, that you're going to make $15,000 in the next three months. That's not a realistic way of how we work. Manifestation is your power and you are a co-creator and the container for your next life and you build it up. It doesn't happen overnight. Once again, you see how these are starting to connect.

Speaker 1:

The fifth misconception is that if it's meant to be, it's just going to show up with no action. We see this a lot. Right Woo, girl. This one is wrapped up in all kinds of soft spiritual lingo Like I'm surrendering, I'm letting the universe figure it out. I'm trusting that's what's meant for me will find me. But let's really decode this, because what it often means is I'm scared, I don't want to do the wrong thing, I'm hoping someone or something will rescue me. And that is not surrender, that is spiritual freeze, that is wishful thinking dressed up as divine timing. If you're not working with your subconscious to up as divine timing, if you're not working with your subconscious to rewire the beliefs underneath, you're not creating your reality. You're just hoping that it changes. And manifestation doesn't happen when you sit still and wait. It happens when your energy meets action messy, intuitive and sometimes terrifying action. We're not here to be rescued, okay. We're here to be restored to our full power and then move.

Speaker 1:

The sixth one is the universe delivers. And we talk about the universe a lot and I think this is out there so much and I've been guilty of it. I'm just going to be real with you, but honestly, I think we need to get one thing straight, and that is the universe is not Santa Claus, and I have said this before. It is not checking a list and sending out blessings based on how many affirmations you did this morning, because the universe is you. It's the infinite, intuitive intelligence inside of you, not some glowing figure in the sky with a clipboard. When we talk like the universe delivers, we're low-key, saying I'm waiting on something outside of me to give me what I want. And, babe, that is not it that externalizes your power, that puts you in a waiting room instead of the creation room. You're not asking for anything. You are it through you. You shift the energy, you shift your beliefs, you work with your nervous system, you take aligned action and the world mirrors back what you anchor in your body. So, no, the universe isn't delivering. You are becoming Through your internal reprogramming, you are rearranging the external 3D reality.

Speaker 1:

And the seventh one we're going to talk about today and this is the last one we're going to talk about is that all you need is yourself for manifestation. And okay, yes and no, you do need yourself. And a lot of people think that this road is a solo journey, because we're doing the inner work and we aren't looking for people to rescue us. People can't do the inner work for us. But that's why I say yes and no about this being some kind of like solo on your own journey. You need your energy, you need your truth, you need your belief. Your nervous system needs to be regulated, but don't get it twisted, because trying to do it all alone is not empowering. That is survival mode. That's the I got it energy when you're secretly overwhelmed and spiraling that I don't need anyone. Energy is born from past hurt and not divine power. You are allowed to be held. You are allowed to be supported. You are allowed to ask for help. You are allowed to call in mentorship and sisterhood and frameworks that keep you aligned. There is power in being in community with women. That's why at the Harvest your Desires event, I wanted to do it in person, to be in community with women. That is important.

Speaker 1:

I was out meeting with a good friend last week. We went and had dinner. She runs Lapis Vision. So she runs a retreat that works with art, with creativity and with yoga and getting connected to your body to really live in this life. She does her thing, I do my thing. We connect, we gather, we're close like that.

Speaker 1:

I know manifestation, I know how to make it work. I know breath work. I know manifestation. I know how to make it work. I know breath work. I know meditation, I know tapping Like. I know all of the things, but I went to a full moon ritual and there was breath work, there was meditation. There's something about and this is kind of what we were talking about being held and being supported, like sometimes when we are working with our nervous system, when we're working with our subconscious. We need to engage in those practices. But if you're just trying to lead yourself through those practices now you have to think. Let's take breath work, for example. Now I have to think, do the counts one, two, three, four and then out one, two, three, four, whatever the counts are in the hold, and now I'm thinking instead of just being in that moment hold, and now I'm thinking instead of just being in that moment. So when we were doing the breath work at the full moon ritual, I didn't have to think. I could just be and I could connect with my body because somebody else was doing the guiding, like it took the one, two, three out of it for me and let me just be, and that was being held and being supportive and being in community.

Speaker 1:

There is value in mentorship. I would have not gotten anywhere in my life without mentorship from people who've already gone through it, experienced, had success with it. Mentorship is important, sisterhood is important because nobody wants to feel alone, like they're doing it all by themselves. I think I really want to drive this home to you today, in this idea that manifestation is this singular journey. It is your journey, but it is not a journey you have to take alone. Sisterhood is so important.

Speaker 1:

You can use frameworks to help keep you aligned. Maybe you don't know what to do, maybe you want to try something new. Maybe you try something new and then you adjust it and make it your own, so it feels good to you to help you align and reprogram. I work with frameworks all the time. Oh my gosh, you guys, I have such cool things coming out for you Right now. If you're on my email list, they're doing it first. Right, they get first dibs at it and they get to do it for free and test them out. And why do I do that? Because I understand that I have sisterhood. But frameworks are important.

Speaker 1:

You can't just say you're going to go out there and manifest and you don't have any system. That's when we fall into wishful thinking. That's when we fall into outsourcing our power. That's when we fall into trends that don't really work, that don't reprogram the subconscious mind. Needing help isn't a flaw. Mind Needing help isn't a flaw. It is a feature of your humanity. And I know we live in a very individualistic society and a very independent society. I'm a very independent person. I love parts of my independence, but you have to know oneself. I can get super independent and I have those moments and I know, know, let me reach out, let me be in my community, because that is part of humanity. Sometimes that community can be the very thing that quantum leaps you in your manifestation, the moment you decide that you don't have to muscle through it all alone. That goes back to sometimes, in that you can be held when you are grieving or feeling sad, or feeling angry or feeling frustrated, like the show I mentioned earlier where the two girls go in together to the soundproof room and they scream together because they both just need to scream together. And that's community.

Speaker 1:

I want to leave you with this. You don't need to be high vibe 24-7. You do not need perfect faith. You do not need to wait for someone carrying some checklist version of the universe so that it can be quote-unquote, delivered to you. You just need you regulated, embodied, supported with community and choosing again and again to live like what you want is already coming through you. Start there. You can start small. Pick one of these lies. They're lies I want to say misconceptions, and maybe they were misconceptions, but they're lies. Pick one of the lies that felt a little too familiar and ask yourself what do you want to believe? Instead, say it out loud, say it with your whole chest and then go live like it's true, because this path and this life is not about getting it perfect. It's about living like your desires already know your name, because they do. They live within you. Stop waiting and I'll chat with you next week.
