Speaker 1:

Hey there and welcome back to the Live Life Unapologetically podcast. I'm Shannon, and today's episode is for anyone who feels like this world is upside down. For those of you watching current events and wondering how do I even start to manifest anything when everything feels so broken. I want to start by saying this that you're not powerless. I also want to start by saying that I don't have all the answers in this moment, and that's okay. I don't have a completed path and a completed plan. I feel like it is irresponsible for me to say that I do, because I'm still mulling through things in my mind. I'm still trying to reconcile a lot of stuff in my own mind. Be wary of those that say they have it all figured out, because if they did, we wouldn't be where we are today. I know it's easy to feel overwhelmed, angry or even hopeless. What I have for you today is that I want to remind you of your power not just to create change in your own life, but to ripple that change out into the world. This is definitely not about ignoring reality or pretending things aren't hard. It is not because, like I said, I don't have all the answers. Nobody has all the answers. Let me be clear about that. Nobody has all the answers. Stop trying to hold on to saviors to save you, save yourself. We look for people to have all the answers and we do that because we want to have a known. We feel safe in the known If somebody can tell us hey, have all the answers. It gives a sense of safety and security to us because we seek that, as human beings, the unknown is scary. And because the unknown is scary whether it's unknown because we don't know if bad things are going to happen, or unknown because we're scared of new good things happening unknown, regardless of what side it falls on, is scary. To know something brings in a feeling of like, security and stability. This is not about ignoring. This is just what do we do in this moment.

Speaker 1:

If you listen to this podcast, do you believe in the power of manifestation? I believe in the power of manifestation and today I want to acknowledge the weight that you may feel letting yourself process it, and then I want you to decide that you're not going to let the world take your joy, your hope or your power. Grab your favorite drink with me today. Usually, when I say that, I'm thinking coffee or a nice warm tea. Maybe today it's a nice stiff drink. Whatever you need today, get your favorite drink.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about manifesting wealth, not just for ourselves, but for the kind of world we want to live in. I want you to know that we do create our reality, and you may be saying how has this happened? Let us not forget that other people are creating their reality too, and we all live in this world together. So first let's just talk about the weight that many of us are carrying right now, because I don't want to glass over it. I think that's so insensitive.

Speaker 1:

I want you to hear me that it is okay to feel what you're feeling. If you've been around here for some time, you know we don't suppress feelings. In the space where we manifest in this community, we don't just have toxic positivity where we ignore things. Whether that's anger, sadness, frustration, fear, even despair, it is valid. What is not okay is to pretend that those feelings don't exist. Suppression does not make your feelings disappear. It makes them stronger because they will fight to come out. Your feelings are indicators. They are connection to your higher self, and your higher self doesn't just live in love and light. Your higher self lives through all of it.

Speaker 1:

Manifesting is not about ignoring reality the way that it's portrayed by a lot of people. It's about using what is real, what you feel, to fuel what is possible. Your feelings are your indicators. To ignore them means that you're ignoring a greater part of yourself. They tell you what you don't want and then you use that to put an intention onto what you do want.

Speaker 1:

Now you might be saying, shannon, I didn't want this when we. You might be saying, shannon, I didn't want this where we are today in the United States. I didn't, I didn't want this. What I think that we leave out of manifesting to try to make it sound like it's all sunshine and rainbows and that manifestation is your savior is that everybody is manifesting all of the time, just like gravity. It's there the law of attraction. It just is what you are seeing that you don't want. Other people do want. Well, why did they manifest it better than I did? Did I fail at manifesting? No, you didn't. Honestly, that's like an organized religion mindset that oh evil overcame because I was weak or something. No, it may bring you solace, it may not, but the current executive branch did not receive the majority of the people's vote. Because you may be feeling alone, because you've been told that most of our country voted for this and they didn't. Collectively, more people voted for Democrat or third party Like the two main candidates. Yeah, the other one got the upper hand, but out of all of the candidates because there was more than one on ballot did not Change the narrative in your mind, because I think a lot of desperation that we're feeling, or despair, is that more people wanted this than did not want this, and that's simply not true.

Speaker 1:

More people didn't want this than do. We can get into the thick of it about how it's stupid to vote third party, blah, blah, blah. I'm going to get into all that. That's not the point of this. The point is you didn't fail at manifesting something. Everybody manifests what they want and actually more people manifested to have somebody else in office besides who is in office right now.

Speaker 1:

It may not make you feel better in this moment, but I just want you to know that so that you don't feel like you're alone or so that you don't feel like you're fighting some really big uphill battle. This is a systematic issue, not a personal, your issue, if that makes sense, like not a failure on your part issue. So I want you to give yourself permission to sit with any feelings that you have, journal about them, meditate on them, cry if you need to. Just don't stay there. Feel it and process it and then decide to move into your joy and into your power. It's not ignoring it or suppressing it. Please hear when I said process it. And if you're like Shannon, I don't know how to process it, that's okay too. You process it piece by piece as you go, but you reclaim your power. You don't get stuck there the moment you reclaim your joy. That is when you reclaim your power.

Speaker 1:

Joy is not pretending the world is fine. It's choosing to protect your light, no matter what is happening around you. If you think of it like a candle that's burning and it's windy, that wind is all the shit that we are just feeling all kinds of feels about right now, and not in a good way. It's the wind. You can't let your light go out. So think about putting a cover around the candle, right Something around the candle to block the wind so the light still burns. It doesn't mean the wind is not there. It means that you are putting up a boundary to keep the light going, and that boundary is your joy and your happiness and the power is the flame that still burns Now as we think about all the things that we don't want from the current administration.

Speaker 1:

It's very clear that we live in an oligarchy, and many people are disparaged because they wanna know how do we fight against the money? Here's the first limiting belief that is holding so many of us back, and it has been for some time. And when I say limiting belief, I mean this is a narrative that has been given to you and programmed into you to limit you, and that's an idea that wealth is limited. We have been fed a lie that there's only so much wealth to go around, that it is hoarded by a select few and that the rest of us are left fighting for scraps. That's the narrative. But wealth is endless. Money is just energy, and energy is limitless.

Speaker 1:

The only thing holding you back from abundance may be the belief that it's not available to you because somebody else has it. That's not how it works. That's just what we've all been grown up to believe. We've all been grown up with the idea of getting your piece of the pie as if it's limited and that the pie is going to run out and that you've missed out. But when you let go of that belief, you stop seeing wealth as a finite resource and start seeing it as a flow and you open yourself up to endless possibilities. And you might be saying, well, shannon, isn't that denying reality? No, that's challenging a limitation. We see it because we believe it. Now we challenge it. There's more money circulating the world now than ever. So where was all that money before? Hidden in the ground somewhere? No, it's just energy. How could there be more wealth than there has ever been before? But wealth is limited. This is how we challenge those beliefs. The belief itself is skewed that if it's limited, then how is it that there's more now than ever? Because it would have always been limited. It's not. And here's the next limiting belief and they're the only ones I'm going to talk about today when it comes to wealth, and that's that wealth makes you like the opposition. Wealth makes you like those tech bros.

Speaker 1:

For many of us, especially women, we have a huge fear that having wealth is going to corrupt us, that we'll become greedy and selfish and disconnected, like the billionaires and oligarchs we're seeing in power today. We look at them with disgust and we don't want to be them, and our disgust for them comes from how they use their wealth and what they use their wealth for. Wealth does not change who you are. It amplifies it. I'm going to say that one more time wealth does not change who you are. It amplifies it. If you are a compassionate person, having wealth is only going to give you more opportunities to act on that. Whatever your values are kindness, community, lifting others up your wealth just gives you the opportunities to do that. Wealth is a tool. It's not about hoarding or controlling. That's another narrative or lie that you've been shown that when you have great wealth, you hoard it and you use it to control others. That is their narrative. That is their values. That is amplifying who they are. Let it amplify who you are.

Speaker 1:

That wealth can be about creating, giving and transforming. When you manifest wealth, you're not becoming part of the problem, you're becoming part of the solution, and I get it. Why manifest wealth now, when everything feels so uncertain? I'm not going to lie to you. I felt this way. I've been trying to reconcile so many things, but one thing I know for sure is that wealth gives power Not power to dominate, but power to create change. I want you to think about all of the times that you wanted to give to a cause that you knew was doing good works, but you weren't able to because you didn't have the money in your budget and you wished you could give to be part of the change, but you didn't have it. That is why we manifest wealth, now more than ever before. Imagine using your wealth to support organizations like the ACL or grassroots movements, to fight injustice, to feed your neighbor. That's why we manifest wealth to create change. Because, at the end of the day, it's going to still cost money. Yeah, you can grow your own food, but you have to pay the water. You have to have somewhere to put it, so you're paying rent or a mortgage, you have to buy the seeds, you have to buy things to store what you grow. Money is involved somewhere. It is where we place the money that makes the change, by investing in local businesses, ethical brands, female-owned companies.

Speaker 1:

Wealth isn't just about personal freedom. It's about collective impact. When you align your wealth with your values, you're not just manifesting for yourself, you're manifesting for a better world. We need wealth to survive. That is how we live. If you're in survival mode, barely getting by, it's harder to have an impact and you may say well, shannon, that's a system, but we manifest to break the system, one at a time, and you manifest wealth for yourself so that you have disposable income. You can then put that income into something to make the world a better place.

Speaker 1:

And here's something I think we don't think about enough. We're all complacent. I'm guilty of it because I do like to shop, but every dollar that we spend is a statement of what we believe in. Wealth is a vote In a time when the political system feels broken. Your pocketbook, your marches, but they respond to wealth and where it's placed. So support small business. Let go of a belief that shopping small business is too expensive On the surface level. It is. It's more expensive on the surface level, but at what cost? Of supporting bigger corporations? That cost is far greater. So say you decide, you know what. I am going to grow my own food, or I am going to shop the farmer's market. Are you okay, being a little uncomfortable To manifest change, action, our thoughts, emotions and our actions.

Speaker 1:

Invest in your community. Spend your money in ways that uplift the people and places around you and pull your wealth from the system that doesn't work for you. Every time you spend consciously, you're taking power away from systems that don't serve you and you're putting it into ones and building up ones that do. Your money is just as much your voice as your voice, so use it widely and use it loudly. And I really want to speak to my female entrepreneurs who are manifesting businesses, because this is our time. Build your business, not just for your financial independence, but so that we can step outside of broken systems that have failed us as women, that don't work for us as women. Let's create our own system. Creating something that aligns with your values, supports your community and generates wealth is a way that feels good and right, and you can do it. The universe is on your side.

Speaker 1:

When you manifest wealth through your business, you're not just building for yourself. You're building for every woman that comes after you. You're showing the world that wealth doesn't have to look like greed and exploitation and inequality. It can look like compassion and collaboration and change. If you're ready to start manifesting wealth with purpose, with a new purpose, a renewed purpose, then here's a place we can start. Just a jumping off point. Let's reframe some limiting beliefs and let go of the idea that wealth is limited or corrupted and replace it with beliefs like. Wealth is infinite and always flowing to me, and my wealth creates positive change. Set intentions that matter. Ask yourself what do I want wealth to do for me and the world? Aligning your manifestation with those intentions? Vote with your money, start small, support local businesses, donate to a cause or invest in something meaningful. Visualize your impact. Close your eyes and imagine the ripple effect of your wealth, seeing the lives you're touching, the causes you're supporting and the world you're creating.

Speaker 1:

Women we've stayed in the box of patriarchy too long and it serves no one. What we're seeing now is what the patriarchy has delivered. It does not work. We've been fighting for change within a system that doesn't want us there, trying to change their system instead of just creating a new one. Let's create a new one, and some people might say, oh, good always outweighs the bad and you know it's going to be fine, whatever.

Speaker 1:

No, sometimes I think we get complacent and we get comfortable and we have comfort zones, and it takes something like this to shake us out of our complacency and comfort zone. I don't know why it is. I don't know why for us to really rev up in our power, most of the time we have to have our backs against the wall. I don't know. This is where we are Now. Where do we go from here?

Speaker 1:

And I want you to remember, in all of this, to hold your joy, because your energy matters. You know your energy matters. You're on a manifestation podcast. You're part of the manifest she universe. Don't give your energy to those who would suppress you Doesn't mean ignoring them. I don't know why we're so extreme like this, probably because we were taught to be. I know what they're doing. I'm going to use my energy to do something better. I'm going to have joy.

Speaker 1:

Find joys in the current days and these days, in the little things, if that's all you can do. I find joy when I look out my window and I look at the big tree that's in my front yard. I find joy when my son's dog jumps up and down. Even though it's annoying, she's just so happy. I find joy in the smiles of my grandkids. I find joy when I'm creating and being crafty. So, as we move forward, don't stop living. Joy is your fuel that keeps your fire burning.
